In Palworld, Loupmoon is a dark Pal that only roams at night. It's a tall, ominous-looking pal that looks somewhat like an oversized Gremlin from the namesake 80s classic movie with its long ears and sharp claws. While some pals in the wild are neutral and ignore anyone strolling by, Loupmoon is very aggressive and will attack you on sight.
If you're hoping to stumble across Loupmoon in the dead of night, chances are, it'll probably find you first. However, there are some helpful pointers on where to find Loupmoon across Palworld's massive map. Early-game players should also prepare for a tough fight if they are hoping to catch Loupmoon by familiarizing themselves with a few tips for the best chance of capture rate success.
Where To Find Loupmoon In Palworld
While Loupmoon tends to pounce out of the shadows seemingly from nowhere, the best places to find Loupmoon are around the western to northwest areas of the map. However, you must search at night, as it is a nocturnal Pal with no daytime habitat zones.
Try fast-traveling to the west fast travel point next to the Sealed Realm of the Thunder Dragon and head north towards Palworld's Jormuntide boss battle lake area. You can ignore the boss if you like. Here, there's a good chance of Loupmoon packs appearing when the sun sets.
Once you've caught Loupmoon, you can check other spawn points using the Paldeck map, as seen in the above image.
How To Catch Loupmoon In Palworld
To catch Loupmoon, one of Palworld's rarest Pals, you need a Pal Sphere that's tough enough to stop it from escaping, namely, a Gigasphere. Loupmoon has few core attacks, including a long-range purple projectile and a red-flared, close-quarters swipe. While it will run at you, it's best to keep a distance as much as possible and rely on using weapons like a bow and arrow.
Additionally, you can deploy a high-damage Pal to help chip away at its health. Loupmoon also tends to run off when its health drops, so be prepared to give chase.
Loupmoon Skills, Stats, And Work Suitability In Palworld
Loupmoon is a level-two handiwork pal, making it ideal for general legwork around your base. However, it also makes a decent base protector with its reasonably high attack and defensive stats. Furthermore, if you're searching for bones in Palworld, you're in luck with Loupmoon. While you might expect Loupmoon to drop horns due to the large dual ones on its head, this Pal actually drops bones when killed.
It may also be worth adding Loupmoon to your party due to its various Active and Passive Skills, each of which is listed below.
