Palworld features a diverse range of biomes on its map, each with its own unique weather conditions. Some islands in the game experience freezing temperatures, while others are scorching hot. Among these biomes, deserts stand out as crucial locations for resource gathering. However, surviving the blistering heat of the desert can be quite challenging. In order to progress in the game, players must learn the art of surviving the desert heat. To assist them in doing so, here is a comprehensive guide to surviving the searing temperatures of the desert in Palworld.
Initially, it might seem overwhelming to navigate ways to counteract the heat, but fear not – there are specific tools and strategies at your disposal to triumph over those relentless heat waves. Discovering the right methods to combat the sweltering conditions will not only safeguard your character's well-being but also enhance your overall survival experience in this challenging virtual world.
As players venture through diverse islands in Palworld, they will encounter varying climate conditions. In scorching desert regions, the temperature can soar to extreme levels, necessitating players to find ways to cope with the heat. To mitigate the effects of the heat, players can equip themselves with specialized armors. Among the available options are the Tropical Outfit and the Heat Resistant Pelt Armor, both designed to enhance a player's resistance to the sweltering conditions. These armors provide players with the necessary protection to withstand the intense desert climate and continue their exploration without being hindered by the heat.
Luckily, overcoming the intense heat becomes manageable once you achieve certain levels and gain access to the Tropical Outfit. This outfit becomes available upon reaching Level 9 in the Technology Tree, and you can craft it at a Workbench using the following materials: 3x Cloth and 2x Flame Organ.
There's also a lot of heat-resistant equipment.
Heat-Resistant Pelt Armor
15 Leather
4 Flame Organs
Heat-Resistant Metal Armor
13 Leather
8 Flame Organs
40 Ingots
8 Cloth
Heat-Resistant Refined Metal Armor

12 Flame Organs
3 High-Quality Cloth
40 Refined Ingots
Heat-Resistant Pal Metal Armor
30 Leather
16 Flame Organs
6 High-Quality Cloth
30 Pal Metal Ingots
Cloth can be made from two Wool, and a Flame Organ can be obtained by killing or capturing a fire pal.
If you find yourself running low on leather or flame organs, a convenient option is to purchase both from the Wandering Merchant located in the Small Settlement near the starting point in single-player mode. Alternatively, you can opt to track down Foxparks, which typically yield both materials with just one successful kill or capture.
Crafting both outfits can be accomplished at a Primitive Workbench. While there are higher-tier heat-protection outfits available, I've discovered that the Heat Resistant Pelt Armor proves to be effective in helping me endure the heat across various desert areas in Palworld. Keep in mind that upon death, your outfit is dropped, so it's advisable to have a spare or two stored at your base.
