These powerful bosses in Palworld are commanded by trained Pals trainers, so we need to be well prepared before challenging these bosses, so we have developed some strategies based on their characteristics through experience. Here are all the bosses in Palworld and how to defeat them.
All Palworld bosses
Here are all the Palworld main bosses in order of appearance:
1.Zoe & Grizzbolt
Location: Rayne Syndicate’s Tower (112, -434)
Challenge requirement: 30K damage in ten minutes
Ground-type Pals such as Gumoss and Fuddler should be your top picks to take into this battle since they’re super effective against Electric-type Pals. Grizzbolt fires a barrage of electric missiles at long range, though it prefers to get up close and personal with its claws. Avoid the bulk of those melee attacks by putting a pillar between you and it.
Watch out for Grizzbolt’s triple ground slam attack, which it initiates immediately after running up to you – you can avoid it with a trio of well-timed dodges. Zoe periodically takes aim with her laser bolt, and you only have a short window to duck behind cover before she takes her shot. It’s also possible to get behind Grizzbolt to dish out melee damage with a club or spear while your Pal draws aggro, but take care to stay out of range of his electric AoE (area-of-effect) attack.
2.Lily & Lyleen
Location: Free Pal Alliance Tower (185, 28)
Challenge requirement: 69K damage in ten minutes
Lyleen is a Grass-type Pal, so make sure to populate your team with your strongest Fire-type Pals before you take it on. We particularly recommend Vanwyrm for this fight since you can ride it to gain better maneuverability and direct its attacks manually while using it as a mount. However, this does mean that Lily & Lyleen won’t split their attention between you and your Pal, so be sure to remain on the defensive as much as possible if using this tactic.
Lyleen can emit a poison cloud directly ahead of her, so remain at a distance and aim for Lyleen’s head for critical hits. Avoid its homing bubbles and hurricanes at long range, as well as the seed grenades it periodically scatters across the battlefield. It also fires off a swift three-shot missile that you can avoid with a well-timed dodge or ducking behind a pillar.
3.Axel & Orserk
Location: Brothers of the Eternal Pyre Tower (-588, -518)
Challenge requirement: 130K damage in ten minutes
Orserk is an Electric/Dragon-type, so Ground-type or Ice-type Pals are an excellent counter; we recommend the latter given the additional chance to freeze it in place, allowing you a welcome breather to get in some free hits or use Palworld medical supplies.
Orserk is partial to a thunder trident projectile that it throws at either you or your Pals, which splits off in three directions on impact. It also regularly summons a poison cloud that tracks the player, so be sure to keep on the move until it dissipates. Its lightning beam is tough to dodge on the fly, so be sure to duck behind a pillar during the brief pause before Orserk lets rip.
Try to avoid standing directly in front of Orserk since it’s liable to unleash its Draconic Breath to punish you for it. If it suddenly closes the gap between you, be warned: it may be gearing up to trigger a close-range AoE that takes a few quick dodges to avoid.
At this point, you should have unlocked the heavier artillery necessary to make a dent in Orserk’s enormous health bar. Keep your distance with long-range weapons and aim for the head as much as possible. If you’re having trouble surviving Orserk’s burst damage, upgrading your armor and bringing along a Pal with lifesteal will certainly help.
4.Marcus & Faleris
Location: Tower of the PIDF (561, 334)
Challenge requirement: 147K in ten minutes
Faleris is a Fire-type, so Water-type Pals and Heat Resistant Armor are the obvious counters to this battle. This angry firebird loves to throw fire tornadoes, fireballs, and various other projectiles, so use the arena to your advantage and keep a pillar between you and it as much as possible.
Faleris’ Ignis Breath sends out a plume of flame directly ahead, so be sure to stay in the mid-to-long range as much as possible. If this weren’t enough, Faleris often positions itself directly overhead to unleash a Fire or Electric AoE. It also has an additional thunderbolt attack that inflicts a debilitating Shock status effect that can leave you a sitting duck, so you want to stay on the move for this fight and rely on your Pals to draw aggro.
Marcus & Faleris spend the entirety of this battle in the air, so don’t expect to make much of a dent in their sizeable health pool with any melee-focused Pal of small stature. Given just how much health you have to eat through to defeat Marcus & Faleris within the time limit, we also recommend inflicting a Poison DoT (damage-over-time) for supplementary damage.
5.Victor & Shadowbeak
Location: PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower (-149, 445)
Challenge requirement: 200K in ten minutesVictor & Shadowbeak form the greatest boss challenge in Palworld thus far, so don’t be afraid to bring in your heaviest artillery for the occasion. The Rocket Launcher is by far and away your best bet, but its low fire rate and expensive ammunition mean that it’s important to make every shot count.
Shadowbeak is a Dark type, so be sure to unleash your most powerful Dragon-type Pals in the fight against it. Its Dark-based attacks comprise orb projectiles, a quickfire forward beam, and a massive wave of homing orbs that inflict Dark damage upon impact.
Like previous boss encounters, you can avoid all of the above by ducking behind pillars or executing a well-timed dodge. Shadowbeak also relies upon several Ice-based attacks, including an ice bomb, wave, and beam. You can ward off any Freeze status effects by equipping Cold Resistant Armor, though you’re likely to have this equipped to deal with the cold outside the boss room anyway.
This fight is a real slog, so we highly recommend bringing along a Pal with lifesteal abilities to keep you and your team ticking over. If you’re struggling to make a dent in Victor & Shadowbeak, it may well be that you’re underleveled and unable to unlock the best Palworld weapons from the tech tree.
If you’re a few levels short of the cap, we don’t recommend taking on this fight. Instead, check out our Palworld leveling guide for a few handy tips to get you and your Pals to the correct level.
6.Alpha Pal bosses
Aside from the Palworld main bosses, a variety of optional bosses can be found in certain Palworld map locations, either roaming free in the open world or at the end of dungeons.
These ‘Alpha’ Pals can be either caught or defeated, and while they don’t present the same level of challenge as main bosses, they can still net you an Ancient Technology point, Palworld Ancient Civilization Parts, and other rare Palworld resources.
