In Palworld, some battles are highly challenging, so you need to understand a multitude of game mechanics to defeat enemies. Today, I'll share with you one of the most crucial game mechanics in Palworld: Elemental Advantage. Mastering this aspect will provide you with powerful assistance in your adventures within Palworld.
1 Element dominance
In the game, each Pal has its own element. During battles, each type of Pal has its own strengths and weaknesses. Understanding these can help you adapt and formulate strategies to defeat enemies. Including Pals with advantageous elements in your battles can make your attacks more powerful.
In the game, there are nine different elements: Dragon,Dark, Water, Electric, Grass, Fire, Ice, Neutral and Ground. You can see in the chart below the elemental advantages and disadvantages. For example, Fire dominates Grass, and Water dominates Fire. In terms of late-game power, Ice, Dragon, and Dark elements have an absolute advantage over Water, Fire, Electric, Grass, and Ground elements.
In the game, skills also correspond to specific elements. If you use a Pal with an advantageous element and employ a skill that matches that advantage, you can deal 4 times the damage. On the other hand, if you use a Pal with a disadvantageous element and employ a skill that matches that disadvantage, you will only inflict 0.25 times the damage.
2 Strongest Pals in Each Element
Drak:Shadowbeak, Frostallion Noct, Necromus
Dragon:Jetragon
Ice:Frostallion
Fire:Blazamut, Faleris
Water:Suzaku Aqua, Jormuntide
Electric:Orserk, Grizzbolt
Grass:Lyleen
Ground:Anubis
Neutral:Paladius
3 Elemental Battle Tactics
The elemental battles in Palworld require some skills. Here are some techniques to make full use of the elements in Palworld. Firstly, choose Pals with elemental advantages for battles. For example, when facing a Grass-element Pal, select a Fire-element Pal.
Lead enemies into areas advantageous for you, for instance, when facing a Fire-element enemy, guide it into water. Then, make sure to use skills with elemental advantages to deal greater damage.
Don't just stand by during Pal battles; you can also pick up weapons to assist your Pals.
Suggest raising a Fire-type Pal to battle Frostallion first, then using Frostallion against Jetragon. At night, recommend soloing Necromus initially, followed by challenging Paladius. Jetragon can be deployed against Necromus, and then Necromus battles Paladius.
That's all there is to it, now that you know the elemental combat mechanics, go try it in palworld.
