As a standout game at the beginning of 2024, Palworld has achieved remarkable sales in just a few days. The majority of gameplay revolves around capturing Pals and breeding them. Today, I want to share my accumulated breeding experience in the game, hoping it will be helpful to all of you. This guide is divided into three main parts: base construction, the order of breeding, and breeding tips.
1 Base construction
Breeding is a resource and time-consuming endeavor, making excellent base construction particularly crucial in the early and mid-game stages. A well-established base can save a significant amount of time in the breeding process.
Firstly, you need to create your initial base, the first Palworld factory. In the early stages of the game, due to limited resources, it is advisable to utilize space for farming and planting. Regarding the location, as Palworld is still in its Early Access stage, there may be occasional bugs when Pals are working inside the base. Therefore, it is recommended to choose a relatively flat area without many trees or rocks. When placing Palboxes, try to keep a distance from nearby iron mines, as constructing facilities in the original iron mine location might prevent it from respawning.
Next, you can create your mining facility, which can provide a substantial base for mineral resources. Pals working in the mining facility primarily undertake two tasks: excavation and transportation. In addition to basic facilities like beds, feed boxes, and hot springs, you can also construct a smelting facility here. Building farmland is also recommended to ensure a food supply. When selecting a location for the mining facility, it is advisable to choose an area rich in coal and minerals.
In the early stages, the recommended Pal choice for work is the Tombat, which has level 2 mining, level 2 carrying, and works during the night. For convenient transportation, you can also choose a Killamari, which has level 2 carrying and is abundant in caves, making it easy to capture.
In the mid-game, for work, you can breed Anubis, which has level 3 mining, level 2 carrying, and level 4 Handiwork, making it a versatile choice. In the late game, for work Pals, you can choose to breed Astegon, whether obtained through production or capture. Astegon specializes in level 4 mining, and carrying can be complemented by Anubis.
Later on, you can begin constructing your breeding base. The breeding base plays a crucial role in undertaking breeding functions in the mid-to-late game. When you require extensive breeding capabilities in the mid-to-late stages, having breeding bases exceeding numerous farms will significantly enhance your efforts. However, it's essential to allocate some space for cultivation and farming to provide materials for the breeding cakes. Adjust the scale of farming and breeding based on the size of your breeding base. You can construct Viewing Cages to house Pals designated for breeding.
2 The order of breeding
In the early stages of breeding Pals, when the player unlocks the 19th level Breeding Farm or captures the boss Azurobe, or at the 23rd level captures the boss Kingpaca, it is advisable to consider breeding them with Vanwyrm to produce Anubis.
When the player reaches level 25, they can go capture the boss Fenglope or choose to breed one. The recommended partners for Fenglope are Lamball with either Kingpaca or Cinnamoth. Lamball, being one of the basic Pals in the Pal continent, is relatively easy to capture. You can capture a large number and breed them to obtain Pals with desirable Passive Skills.
For mid-to-early game flying mounts, you can use Nitewing and Vanwyrm, while in the mid-to-late game, options include Beakon and Helzephyr or Suzaku. As for the late game, you can opt for Jetragon.
When you approach the late game, close to level 50, you can consider cultivating some powerful working Pals for your base. Anubis is an excellent choice. An Anubis with Artisan, Lucky, and Serious, paired with Salad food, can effortlessly fill a stone mine with its 9999 inventory in no time. The breeding approach for such Anubis is slightly different from the earlier regular Anubis.
Due to the need for good Passive Skills, Lamball, being the easiest Pal to capture with the Flash skill, can be chosen for breeding to obtain Lucky, Artisan, and Serious Passive Skills. Then, let Lamball breed with Eikthyrdeer. Eikthyrdeer can not only serve the breeding requirements but also be used for lumbering. After that, breed Eakon with Eikthyrdeer to produce Anubis.
3 Breeding tips
The breeding progress bar only increases when there are two Pals in the breeding farm. The progress bar does not grow when Pals are sleeping or leave the farm for eating. Therefore, the optimal solution is to use feed that relieves Pal hunger. Additionally, place the Food Box close to all breeding farms, ideally in the middle of the breeding base, to minimize the time Pal spends traveling for meals.
I recommend mass-producing pizzas. Pizzas can alleviate hunger, boost work speed, and have a longer shelf life. Moreover, all the ingredients can be produced within the base, eliminating the need to venture outside for resources.
Another technique is using the Grappling Gun to move yourself when carrying too many items. You can also refresh the Grappling Gun cooldown by placing it in your inventory and then equipping it again.
